Answer: Nope! Playing and creating an account is completely free for anyone. Creating your own village and choosing your first set of clothes is also completely free! Inside Nord we use a currency called Nord Coins. These coins are recieved by leveling up in Nord, or through purchasing them with SMS or bank payments. Your first 100 Nord Coins are given to you as soon as you create your account!

Answer: Nord is a peaceful world where you can design and build your own village, hang out with your friends and explore lots of awesome and exciting places. Grow and share your crops to reach higher levels and unlock more features such as horses, race cars, witches, teleporters, dance moves and much, much more!

Answer: Getting started with Nord is both easy and free! First you create your account, you do this by clicking the large button that says "Play now!" on the first page. This will start downloading and running Nord. Just make sure to have Java installed or it wont run!

Answer: Adding your own images is really easy! All you need to do is place a photo frame somewhere in your village and click on it. This will bring up the personal images dialogue. Here you select wich slot you wish to put an image in. When you've done this you end up in an external image loader where you can import, zoom and scroll any jpeg image from your harddrive. Remember that images with inappropriate content are unallowed and users who upload such content may be banned. Your profile image is added in the same fashion but through the player info tab.

Answer: When you create your Nord account you recieve a small welcome amount of Nord Coins to get started with. There are various ways of getting more Nord Coins. Every time you level up you recieve an amount of Coins. Also there are treasure chests scattered allover the community. Nord Coins can also be purchased through SMS or credit card payment. This is done through Nord under the Nord Coin tab. Our payment partners are Cellsynt and Paypal.

Answer: To level up in Nord you need to gather various resources. Different levels have different resources. These resources are found in various places in the Nord world. Some of them are lying around in forests, some need to be planted by yourself, and some can be found in other users villages. Nord is all about being friends with as many as possible and sharing your resources with them. You will quickly learn that cooperation in Nord is key to success!

Answer: Nord runs in Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, MacOS X, Linux, so more or less anyone can play Nord!

Answer: To run Nord you will need a graphic card that supports OpenGL 1.2 and has atleast 64MB of memory on it. For the game to run smoothly we recommend a processor that runs at atleast 1 Ghz and 512 MB of RAM memory. You will need Java 5.0 or newer installed. Most people already have java installed on their computers, but if you find that you don't have it, you may donwload the newest version for free from http://www.java.com. The game is downloaded to your computer via a technology called Java Webstart which is an integrated java component. If you are running a 64-bit version of Windows or Linux (You who are, are probably aware of it, so others can ignore this) will have to run a 32 bit version, since there is still no 64 bit support for Java Webstart.

Answer: If Nord doesn't run, it's probably since you don't have java installed, or that your current version is simply too old. You can download the latest java version by clicking here.

Another common reason for Nord not starting is that your graphic card drivers may be too old. It is always a good idea to update to the most recent drivers to make sure that they aren't the ones that are putting up a fuss. If you are a techy kind of person we recommend upgrading, if not, why not ask a buddy who knows what he/she is doing? They will fix it in no time!

Answer: Try turning down some of the fancy graphic effects. You do this by going to the control panel in the Nord main menu. For an instance you could deactive the shadows, or lower the resolution. Remember that your computer can be slow if you are running lots of programs at the sametime as you play Nord! Hope it helps!

Nord is built around the friendly mood and setting we have in the game. This setting is maintained through various means of action. To mention some, we have moderators who are constantly moving about in the community, who's task is to make sure that all rules are followed and that people act in a nice manner. The moderators have powers to warn, kick or ban players who are ruining the setting. Chatlogs and guestbooks inside of Nord are without warning exposed to random searches to make sure that even the communication wich the moderators don't catch, atleast gets looked upon.

Commerce in Nord is based on our own Nord Coin currency. These coins are used to buy clothing, pets, resources, houses, simply, everything in Nord. Nord Coins can be retrieved in various ways. If you wish to play the game without paying any real money this is not a problem. But there are ways of buying Nord Coins with real cash. The two main ways of doing this either through SMS or Credit card. These options are well marked so your child wont accidentally buy Nord Coins without being well aware of it.

Nord is a violence free game and community for kids, youths as well as adults.
Primarily Nord serves as a social gathering place that encourages the players to cooperate and be friends. In Nord you quickly learn that cooperation is the key to success. The actual game part consists of gathering resources so that you can level up your character, and thus getting access to new interesting items to customize your village and your character with. These resources are most easily found through being friendly and borrowing from other players.
